The Neighborhood Club (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting the privacy of our members and guests. This Privacy Policy explains how data is collected, used, and safeguarded when you use The Neighborhood Club Mobile Application (the “App”) provided in partnership with Club Automation.

1. SCOPE OF THIS POLICY

This policy applies specifically to data handled by The Neighborhood Club Mobile Application. It does not alter or replace any existing, broader privacy policies governing membership agreements or our physical facilities.

2. INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USE

A. Location Data

  • User Permission Required: The App collects location data “only” after you have explicitly granted permission through your mobile device operating system.
  • Purpose: This includes background location access to support a feature that detects when a user is near a facility location, enabling a seamless check-in experience by prompting access to your membership card barcode.
  • Data Processing and Storage: Location data is processed strictly on-device to trigger relevant notifications. The Neighborhood Club does not store this location data, nor is it stored on our servers or shared with any third parties.
  • User Control: Users can manage, restrict, or completely disable location permissions at any time through their individual mobile device settings.

B. Fitness and Event Participation Data

The App may process fitness classes or event participation data. This data is utilized to track participant attendance, manage class rosters, and ensure facility space requirements are safely met.

3. DATA RETAINMENT AND DELETION RIGHTS

A. Data Retention

We retain user-provided account data only for as long as your membership or active account profile exists within our Club Automation management software, or as required to fulfill legal and operational obligations. As noted above, transient data such as location tracking is not retained or stored.

B. Data Deletion Requests

Users have the right to request the deletion of their personal data. If you wish to request the deletion of your account profile or associated application data, please contact our administration team directly at webmaster@theneighborhoodclub.org. Upon verified request, we will process the deletion in accordance with standard club software capabilities and applicable regional privacy regulations.

4. GLOBAL ACCESSIBILITY AND AVAILABILITY

This policy is maintained on a public webpage, is available globally without restriction, and is not distributed via PDF to comply with major mobile app store deployment standards.
